Chaney Cares is proud to announce a historic donation of 110 cubic yards of concrete to support Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity's Carter Place I project, a new affordable housing community in Henrico County, Va.
The donation, valued at more than $25,000, is the largest in-kind gift in Chaney Cares history and will help build three 3D-printed single-family homes for local families.
Habitat for Humanity has been one of Chaney Cares' nonprofit partners since 2021, and this project brings together two things Chaney is passionate about: supplying construction materials and building stronger communities.
"Giving back has been part of who we are for generations, and this donation continues that commitment in a meaningful way," said Hall Chaney, Vice Chair of the Chaney Foundation. "We're honored to work with Metro Richmond Habitat for Humanity and so many dedicated partners to bring new homes to Henrico County."
About the project:
Metropolitan Richmond Habitat broke ground on Carter Place I in September 2026. The homes are being built with a mobile 3D concrete printer purchased by the Virginia Center for Housing Research at Virginia Tech following being awarded a $1.1 million Innovation Demonstration grant through Virginia Housing.
Chaney's donation will support three homes, providing material for a unique monolithic slab into insulated concrete forms.
