The Chaney Enterprises Foundation Fund (now ChaneyCares) awarded Anne Arundel Community College a $35,000 grant in September 2020 to support the new Clauson Center for Innovation and Skilled Trades. ChaneyCares has committed to contribute a total of $250,000 to support the new facility over a five-year period. 

The Clauson Center will feature a “Chaney Lab” that will allow students to practice a variety of skills to enable them to pursue careers in the trades. The 12,000 square foot building, set to open in Fall 2021, will include programs such as welding, general contracting, forklift operation, plumbing, and electrical. Through this effort, Anne Arundel Community College will provide men and women with the technical and soft skills necessary to succeed in today’s world.
