Family Success
Being a family-owned business is less about how the company is managed and more about how it operates. The company embraces all employees in one Chaney Family and extends the same care and commitment to its customer and corporate and community partners. We believe everyone should have the support they need to create a better future for themselves and their families.
We know that while many individuals and families in MD, VA and DE, prior to COVID-19, experienced steady economic improvements over the past decade, almost 40% of households struggled to make ends meet. Approximately 10% of these households were living below the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), and another 30% – more than 3 times as many – earned above the FPL but not enough to afford basic needs – housing, food, transportation, child care, health care, and necessary technology. COVID-19 has exacerbated the struggles of many of these households.
To carry forward Chaney’s one family commitment into our communities and leverage our history of supporting local families through the business and charitable activities, we are focusing on long-term, asset-building efforts for low-income families that lead to stable and secure futures – building Foundations for Family Success.
By making investments of time, dollars and resources, we aspire to make a meaningful difference in three main aspects of family life: education, employment and homeownership.
